Android: Fixing Contact Numbers display issues

Hello All,

Today, I am sharing a very good application for Android phone. If you are a techie person and plays with your phone. Suppose you have tried many custom ROMs on your android phone and suddenly noticed that some ROMs are not identifying your contact numbers while incoming calls and get frustrated by editing many numbers then this is right place for you.

There is an application on Google Play which is a free to download.

I have used this application and going to tell you that how it works. While reading procedural steps please look at screenshots too for better understanding. I hope that you would love this app and appreciate the developers awesome work.

Okey! first of all download this application on your android phone. (please prefer Google Play for this, because other site may have contain some viruses or would navigate you with their ads which is certainly irritated). Follow below steps carefully.

Note: Please backup your contacts on the SD card to avoid any future troubles if you go wrong or the application. I hope that you know that how to backup the phone contacts.

1) Open Number Fixer application
(Application displays its first screen with some details as per displayed in below image)

2) Tap Add area/country code option. (below screen will appears)
3) Tap Digit number drop-down to set the number range to search all numbers.

Generally mobile numbers are in 10 digit, though touch the 10 digit option as per displayed in below image. By default 7 is selected change it to 10.

After that the application displays all contact numbers which contains only 10 digit numbered length not others.

4) Enter the required area code in Area code to prepend field. For India, you can enter +91 or 0 whatever you need.
5) Tap Fix All button.

Application will display a message box which show that how the numbers will be changed.
For example, 9876543210 number will be changed as +91 9876543210
So, all numbers which are contained 10 digits will be added the +91 prefix.

Tips:
1. You can remove the numbers which you don't want to convert. In below image you can see that there is close icon before each number, just touch the Close icon and confirm to delete it and after doing these tasks touch Fix All.

2. For Landline phone numbers you can add '0' area code.

Please post your comments in reply section for your queries. Thanks for visiting my blog.

How to Root Xolo Q800 (With TWRP)?

Hello All,

Congratulations to all Xolo Q800 owners for buying this best handset in quad core series. I am sure that this is the best handset in this price range and also the quad core. Of course I have this handset too. As per my playing habit with gadgets I have successfully rooted my device and enjoying the rooting power. Many users may come with a question that why should I root the device because, if it has quad core processor and most of the apps and games can be installed then why rooting is needed.

There is simple answer and that is "You can backup your total system by using some recovery apps which need your phone is rooted and some cracked apps which come with patches also need the rooted device" Is the answer simple? Yes :)

Still, if you have confusion and scare to root the phone then go through below links and find your doubts out:

I had rooted my Xolo Q800 with cmw recovery and now have successfully rooted with TWRP. The reason for using twrp is the new Gionee ROM is available for twrp so it is required to root this device with twrp. For users who are new to root with twrp this tutorial will help them.
Files to root Xolo q800 are:
           ·       SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1248.0.96
           ·       VCOM
           ·       MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc
           ·       recovery.img

Tip: If you have installed the phone drivers then no need to install it again.
Users who have already rooted their devices with cmw, just download twrp.rar file from here

Note: Please back up/copy your existing files in another folder the name it cmw for future use and rooting the phone again with cmw. And, the files are: MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc and recovery.img

I hope that you have downloaded the twrp.rar file from the provided link or anywhere you got it.

Extract twrp.rar file in same folder where you have stored other files as shown in above bulleted points. If you have copied the Scatter and recovery files in another folder as I have mentioned above then while extracting the twrp.rar system will display a pop-up message then click replace all option and system will replace new files with the exsting files.

Now you would have below files in once folder:

Don’t worry about the folder location it can be different as per your choice. Now follow below steps to root your xolo q800 with twrp:

  • Download VCOM driver and restart your pc (only for new users who have not rooted their device)
  • Switch off your phone and ready with USB cable
  • From SP Flash folder double click on Flash_tool application icon. It will display below screen:

  • From right side of the displayed screen click Scatter-loading. System will display a dialog box to open the file. Select the "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc" from its location where you have stored it. Then screen will display the loaded file details as per below screen.

  • From Window menu (at top of the screen) click Write Memory.

  • Click Write Memory from toolbar. (located at below of Help menu)

  • From Memory Settings option click EMMC.

  • Click Open Raw Data (please refer above image) and select the recovery.img file from where you have stored it.

  • Type 0x2d80000 in Begin Address (Hex) and 0x600000 in Container Length filed. (as shown in above image). Note: Ready with USB cable and the switched off phone.
  • Click Writer Memory. (system will start to search your device/phone)

  • Connect your phone to Computer/Laptop whatever you are using. If all is okey then screen will display a progress bar as shown in below image.

After that the red line will turn in green line. Please refer below image.

Congratulations! You have done and rooted your phone successfully with twrp.

  • Close the Ok box and the close Flash Tool too!
